Although many of us may not always like to pull weeds, we do usually enjoy the beauty, relaxation, and calmness that a well kept garden can offer. As we all know, it takes a lot of effort to keep your garden looking nice. The minute you take a weekend off from your yard efforts, it is easy for things to overgrow, for weeds to creep back in, and for leaves to collect in corners.
I created the YardPlotter to help other gardeners create a garden that they can be happy with. In my day job I am a software engineer, so I especially enjoy creating tools that make your gardening life easier. I am particularly happy with my garden planner. You can also check out the plant hardiness zone page to get an interactive zone map of the county where your zip is located.
In college I took horticulture which gave me a lot of knowledge when it comes to plants. We did experiments, planted various plants, and learned a great deal about the subject. Since then, I have continued to practice gardening through working in my own backyard. I hope to share that knowledge with you on this website.
My favorite plant is a Dahlia, and we usually have several of them every year. We also have a few fruit trees, including an orange tree, a lemon tree, a tangerine tree, and a passion fruit tree. Last time I counted we also have around 100 potted plants, and the count only seems to go up every time I check.
One of my favorite things to do in the garden is to work on our automated watering system. In addition to regular sprinklers, I have also set up various tubes going around the yard to water various sections at a time, all driven by a 4-channel hose timer.
I hope that you find what you are looking for at this website, and keep coming back to check if we have any new gardening tools/software that may help make your gardening life a little easier.
